A Dream Come True!
Chef owners Keith and Lisa Langdon met at Gull Lake Country Club in 1991 and have been a team ever since.
Keith has traveled the United States and worked for likes of Tony Damiano Executive Chef of the famous Russian Tea Room, the Boca Raton Hotel and Resort and even a stint as personal chef for World Heavyweight Champion, Muhammad Ali.
He has worked in some very high end places including a French Restaurant named Chez Marcel. Under Chef Paul Collange it was voted "One of the Best Restaurants in the World" by Conde Nast Magazine. He has also worked for national chains and a few mom and pop restaurants. What he likes to call a "solid burn and learn kitchen background."
Lisa developed her passion for food at her grandmothers side. Grandma (Oma) was always making something from scratch and she never measured anything or had a recipe.
Lisa started her culinary career working for a few local
chains, country clubs and then in 1992 went on to Western Culinary Institute
in Portland OR. While in Portland she had the pleasure of
working with Chef Gregg Higgins, a very talented Chef at the Heathman
Hotel, who has since opened his own world class restaurant. She
also worked under
Chef Fraz, a Culinary Team world champion from Switzerland. She
Graduated from WCI with a 3.9 GPA and awards for perfect
attendance.
Like most chefs we dreamed to open our own place someday.
After Lisa graduated we packed our bags and moved back home to Michigan
and in 1993 we
opened Full City Café a neighborhood coffee shop with fresh
foods.
Ever since we opened our doors, we have been
bringing you some of the most talked about, unique, and
seasonally changing menus in the Kalamazoo area.
In 2005 We opened Full City and expanded our menu to include
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinners with the emphasis still on fresh made from
scratch food.
If there is one word used over and over by our guests
that best describes Full
City Cafe
Our staff is a cheerful
and friendly bunch of people, happy to serve you
even at 6AM!!
At
Enjoy,

"It is SOOO great to see you guys succeeding!
I love
the new breakfasts! On another note, I will be leaving Kalamazoo,...but
I have such sadness about leaving a place where you feel so welcomed and like you
belong! Thanks for that! I wish you the very best
and hope somewhere out there is a
Full City East...."
